Holistic Therapist For Individuals Are you feeling stuck or maybe even unable to identify what you are feeling? Life can sometimes throw us challenges that can impact our emotional well-being. Anxiety can affect your thoughts, emotions, and physical sensations, making it challenging to engage fully in life's activities. Depression can leave you feeling sad, hopeless, and disinterested in things you once enjoyed. It drains your energy and affects your sleep patterns, appetite, and overall motivation. I believe in the power of authentic and empathetic conversations that can help you understand the underlying cause of your problems and transform them for the better. I am a first generation Asian American. My specialties include anxiety, depression, life transitions, and working with Asian American/minority issues such as family conflict, intergenerational trauma, and cultural identity. By exploring your cultural identity, building resilience, and fostering self-compassion, we can work towards creating a life you want. Are you ready to start feeling more connected and balanced in your life? I’m happy to work with you. Let’s work together to see your life from a holistic view. I'm honored to accompany you on this path of self-discovery and well-being. Together, we will create a collaborative and empowering therapeutic space where you can thrive.

People-pleaser, perfectionist, anxious, passive. If any of the above phrases or words describe you, guess what? You're reading the right profile. If you're ready to break-out of unhelpful patterns; if you're motivated to start using your voice; even if you're ready to start therapy to see where it takes you - I can be the therapist to help move you in a different direction. If you're looking for someone who is very structured, that's not me. I offer no-frills sessions and am not afraid to (gently, mind you) challenge or question you. I operate collaboratively and conversationally. Anxiety, people-pleasing, all those things I named above are my specialties. If you're a first timer to therapy - I can also help with that! Look, I get it - it's hard to pick someone whom to tell your innermost thoughts. I understand the feeling of uncertainty and the frustration of finding the "right" therapist. If you're willing to reach out to see if we're a good fit, let's talk!

You have taken a big and brave first step into bettering yourself and addressing your mental well-being. I have worked with individuals from various different backgrounds and identities treating a wide array of mental conditions. In our collaborative work together, we will process and explore barriers that may be inhibiting you from your full human potential. Counseling can feel like a scary and overwhelming experience, but know that this is the first step to bettering yourself. Counseling can improve both your personal relationships with family and friends and give you a sense of fulfillment in your life. Together we can build a working relationship to discover ways to reduce your current condition while examining patterns that affect your interpersonal relationships based on cognitive processes. I practice from a psychodynamic framework, which is defined as exploring people's emotions, thoughts, motivations, and behaviors that are outside of our awareness. *Please note that I am only seeing students via Telehealth as my practice is now 100% remote.* My areas of interests and expertise include working with adults, depression, anxiety, substance abuse, work burnout, trauma, interpersonal relationships, men and masculinities, gender identity, new fatherhood, porn addiction, and self-compassion. I aim to create a safe space to process aspects that may seem like a hindrance to reaching your full potential.
Hi! I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and have been working in the mental health field since 2008. I have had my own private practice since 2019. My goal is always to meet clients where they are and to be as helpful as possible in the process. I work with children, teens, adults, parents, and couples using practical, evidence-based approaches. I focus on individual, family, and community-based strengths in order to create a foundation for lasting change. I also have specialized experience in treating young children with behavior problems, as well as individuals who are struggling with anxiety, depression, self-harm, sexual identity, and trauma-related issues. I aim to help my clients feel supported and validated, but also feel a sense of trust and belonging when they are in a session with me. My general philosophy is to meet clients where they are and go from there in terms of how I can be the most helpful.

I weave traditional and esoteric psychology, and work mainly from the transpersonal perspective. This encompasses the deepest dimension of who we are, seeing life as part of an unfolding journey toward being a more whole and complete human being.

Many of the students I work with feel overwhelmed trying to figure out who they are and what they want, especially in a time that feels uncertain and constantly changing. You might be thinking about your future while also holding awareness of things like climate change, global crises, or instability in the world, which can make everything feel heavier or harder to make sense of. Some students I work with are dealing with habits like skin picking or hair pulling, while others feel burnt out, anxious, or like they’re trying to keep up but struggling internally. I take a relational and systemic approach, looking at both what’s happening internally and the larger context you’re living in, while also offering practical tools to support change. Many of my clients are thoughtful and aware, trying to make sense of themselves and the world around them. Therapy can be a space to slow things down and find ways to move forward that feel more grounded and realistic.
As a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (#142738), I specialize in trauma, LGBTQIA+ issues, life transitions, anxiety, and depression, I am passionate about supporting adolescents and young adults on their journey to well-being. My commitment to being client-centered means that I prioritize your unique experiences, values, and goals throughout our work together. My approach is client-centered, empathetic, and collaborative. I believe in creating a warm and non-judgmental space where you can feel comfortable exploring and expressing your thoughts and feelings. I recognize the strength within each person and tailor my therapeutic interventions to address your specific needs. I view the therapeutic relationship as a partnership, with your goals and preferences guiding the direction of our work. Building a trusting and comfortable therapeutic relationship is priority. I'll invite you to share what brings you to therapy, your expectations, and any specific goals you may have. This helps me tailor our approach to best meet your needs. It's essential that you feel comfortable and empowered in the therapeutic process. My aim is to empower you with the tools and insights necessary for positive change and personal growth. As far as sliding scale goes, I work with Open Path Collective to offer reduced rates. I also take a variety of insurances. We believe that all of us are looking for a sense of fulfillment and well-being in our lives. We experience this well-being as a sense of ease, unrestricted flow of life energy. However, when negative events happen and we perceive ourselves as broken, or not safe, we constrict the flow of well-being, resulting in feelings of pain, fear, anger, grief... The Process Model of therapy helps us to identify our constrictions and release them, allowing our life energy to flow freely again, bringing the sense of relief and re-connection to self, others, and the world around us. Coming into a counseling session is much like going on a tour to explore yourself: how you got where you are today, what you can do to set yourself free, what you can do to change your life. Our counselors are much like guides employed to walk with you on this journey of self-discovery; they invite you to look deeper beyond the story, stay in the present moment and keep the focus on yourself. They are trained to respect, trust, and follow your process into and through your unresolved issues, without judgment or agenda. We are a non-profit and charitable organization incorporated in the state of California since 1982, with a mission to train pre-licenced professionals in the skill and art of psychotherapy. We have many clinicians available to work around your schedule and price range. We are committed to offer therapy to people of all means and backgrounds, and welcome diversity in all its forms.
I’ve always believed in the transformative power of connection. In this field, we have the privilege of working closely with individuals to support them though their struggles. Being able to offer a non-judgmental, compassionate space where someone feels heard and understood is something that inspires me every day. My goal is to establish a compassionate and empowering environment for every individual I have the privilege to work with. The core of my practice is grounded in ensuring a secure and empathetic space for the healing journey. If you’re seeking guidance and support to navigate your current challenges and enhance your overall well-being, I’m here to collaborate with you and provide guidance throughout this process. Building trust starts with creating a safe, welcoming, and non-judgmental space where clients feel comfortable sharing their thoughts and emotions. I prioritize listening actively and attentively, ensuring that clients feel genuinely heard and understood without fear of judgment. Equally important is respecting their autonomy throughout the process. Together, we work to identify goals and strategies that align with their values and needs, fostering a sense of shared ownership in the therapeutic process. By creating a collaborative and transparent relationship, I help clients feel more secure and confident in their journey toward healing.
