Welcome! I specialize in working with identity exploration, perfectionism, social anxiety, and Latina college students/early career professionals. I also enjoy working with concerns related to alcohol use, intergenerational trauma, adjustment issues, and acculturation. Many of my clients have included individuals belonging to the following communities: College/graduate students, Black, Indigenous, and People of Color (BIPOC), Spanish/Spanglish-speakers, immigrants, children of immigrants, international students, first-generation students, LGBTQIA+ folx, and members of fandom communities (e.g. anime, K-pop, book series, etc.). As a proud "nerdy psychologist," I truly value getting to know my clients' salient identities, passions, hobbies, and background to be able to integrate them into our work. If you are wanting to get support in navigating life in a way that feels authentic to you, then we are on the same page. I strive to co-create a therapeutic experience based on trust, genuineness, and empowerment. Together we will build your confidence and skills to get “unstuck” and move towards action, healing, and a life more in line with your values. Taking the step to find a therapist can be a vulnerable and daunting process. Because of that, I am here to answer any questions you may have. If you feel we may be a good fit, please reach out for a free consultation. With humor, no judgment, and some possible cursing thrown into the mix, we will explore getting to what is meaningful to you.

I have been a licensed psychologist for the last 27 years. I work from Psychodynamic (self-psychology/intersubjective/relational), Cognitive-Behavioral, and Systems perspectives, all of which I consider integral to effective work with clients. I also am certified in Therapeutic Assessment, which is using psychological testing to help clients get unstuck and to achieve the insights they seek (therapeuticassessment.com). In addition to my private practice, I was Clinical Professor in the Graduate School of Professional Psychology at the University of Denver for the past 25 years. I retired from the university at the end of 2023 with the Emeritus distinction.

Hi! I am a licensed psychologist providing individual video teletherapy sessions in Colorado. I specialize in working with those coping with trauma recovery (this could be past abuse or processing a recent painful experience), chronic medical conditions, grief and loss, and disordered eating concerns. I have had several years experience working with college students, and I know balancing your life can be really tough at this time. I work with students who have marginalized identities (e.g., BIPOC, female students) navigating the social, systemic, and personal maze of this world. I approach therapy genuinely and compassionately, and work to empower and validate my clients. Therapy is truly all about fit, so if you feel like I may be able to support you, please visit my website or contact me directly!

You look like you have it together—but inside, it feels exhausting. Maybe your thoughts about food take up more space than you’d like, or you swing between being “on track” and overwhelmed. You might hold yourself to high standards and still feel like you’re falling short. From the outside, it looks like discipline—but inside, it feels like anxiety and pressure. I help women step out of these cycles, using therapy and somatic practices to build flexibility, self-trust, and more ease in your body and life. I bring 8 years of experience as a therapist, and have practiced at residential, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and outpatient levels of care. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the single most important factor in achieving success in therapy, and I will make sure you feel supported, and that we are aligned in achieving your goals. Life is challenging, and you shouldn't have to do it alone. I will help you navigate barriers to being present, and the need to distract with food, exercise, and obsessive thoughts about your body. I use a warm, yet direct approach. Together, we'll defuse from unhelpful thoughts, identify your strengths, and build a life you actually like.

How are you handling your life right now? Life can feel overwhelming creating stress, anxiety, fear, and doubt, and leaving us feeling paralyzed and stuck. Transitioning to college, and life after college can really take a minute. As we adjust to new seasons of life, there tends to be a period of the unknown with mixed emotions. Life transitions need life skills. I work with you like we are in a partnership to navigate through the past wounds into a healthier, more stable, and confident future.

Over the last 25 years I have worked with clients who are seeking, peace, healing and develop insight and self-awareness. In my work with clients, there are several treatment modalities utilized, primarily CBT, Somatic Therapy, Whole Person and art therapy. One of my primary focuses with my clients is to create and/or improve their self-care plan since it is instrumental in managing daily stressors and mental health concerns. Self-care is important for me to also have in place and my self-care plan includes photography, being an avid football fan (and most sports), time with my friends and family

I am a therapist specializing in a wide range of concerns, including ADHD, anxiety, depression, identity issues, LGBTQIA+ identity and relationships, life transitions, men's health, relationship issues, self-esteem, sexual health, stress management, and student mental health — working with patients of all ages. With more than eight years of experience in direct care mental health settings and a background as a former educator, I bring a unique perspective to the therapeutic relationship. I believe that healing is a collaborative process and am committed to working alongside people from all walks of life to help you navigate your challenges and discover solutions that are right for you. My practice is founded on evidence-based and integrative modalities, including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), humanistic, and collaborative approaches. Rather than applying a one-size-fits-all method, I tailor therapy to meet you where you are. My goal is to create a space where processing your experiences, build new understanding, and work toward meaningful goals all come together, so that every session moves you forward in a way that feels both grounded and purposeful. My path to becoming a therapist grew naturally out of my work as an educator. Many of my former students sought me out specifically, recognizing that they needed someone to direct and honest with them about their patterns and behaviors. Being surrounded by therapists throughout that time, I found myself continually inspired by the depth and impact of their work. That inspiration led me here. Today, I bring that same directness into the therapy room, helping you explore how your feelings and emotions connect to your history and how patterns, often without our awareness. By shining a light on those cycles, we can begin to understand them and, together, find a new way forward. Outside of the office, you can find me practicing hot yoga, spending time outdoors, playing video games, making art, or catching up on reality TV. These varied interests keep me grounded and remind me of the importance of joy, creativity, and rest, all values I bring into my work with you.

As someone who’s always loved the creative process and felt deeply attuned to the inner world, I believe that our emotions and sensations carry important messages. They can guide us toward understanding ourselves, healing, and finding balance — especially in a college environment where it’s easy to get caught up in expectations, pressure, and constant thinking. When we disconnect from how we feel in order to “get things done,” it can lead to burnout, anxiety, or a sense of numbness. In our work together, we’ll take time to slow down and reconnect — using somatic (body-based) techniques, art-making, mindfulness, and personal reflection to help you better understand what’s happening inside. This process can be especially meaningful if you’re exploring identity, navigating relationships, managing stress, or living with neurodivergence. I support students who are dealing with anxiety, chronic pain, trauma, perfectionism, or who simply feel “different” or overwhelmed by the world. My approach is grounded in the belief that you already hold the wisdom and insight you need — my role is to help you access it with curiosity and compassion. I hold a Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and Transpersonal Art Therapy from Naropa University. I’m also an artist, yoga teacher, and trained in Ketamine-Assisted Psychotherapy (KAP). In sessions, I integrate talk therapy, art therapy, mindfulness, KAP work, and somatic practices to create a collaborative space for exploration, growth, and self-discovery. If you’re curious about working together or just want to learn more, I’d love to connect.

I view therapy as sacred work in which the therapeutic relationship is one of mutual respect and collaboration. I hold a BA in Anthropology from the University of Washington (1997) and a Master’s degree (MA) in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Argosy University (2010) and I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in Colorado. In 2014 I completed a three year advanced training in Somatic Experiencing (SE), a body-centered approach to treating trauma and other stress disorders. I am inspired by Western psychological models and Eastern contemplative techniques, and my practice is enhanced by many years of experience as a yoga and meditation teacher, and as a seeker of various healing modalities. A life-long path of self-exploration and global adventure has been my classroom and has led me to ashrams, Native American sweat lodges, monasteries, and innumerable seminars, workshops, and retreats. I believe in finding inner growth and meaning in all life experiences, especially adversity. My therapeutic style is integrative and holistic, creatively employing Somatic, Mindfulness, and Cognitive Behavioral techniques with the intention of restoring balance to body, mind and spirit and inner harmony with all of your Parts. I bring deep empathy, insight, warmth, and liberal doses of humor to my clients, specializing in support for those challenged by trauma and anxiety. I am a trauma survivor, and I am particularly dedicated to the healing of childhood sexual abuse. My passion lies in helping you reconnect with your light. Whatever is standing in your way, whether it is shame, trauma, anxiety, low self-worth, we will unearth it. Together, we will heal it. Working as a team, we will be alchemists, transforming pain into personal power and self-love. You deserve to love all parts of yourself. You deserve to feel whole.
