People come to me because they are struggling and feel stuck or overwhelmed. I see lots of college students in my practice and specialize in working with people who are challenged by anxiety, ADHD, or Autism Spectrum Disorder (level 1) but I have experience with many different issues. My approach involves providing information about how the brain works, how to use it as your ally instead of an enemy, and how to find strength in the very things that challenge you. (ex: There are so many wonderful things about having ADHD!) I do this in the context of interpersonal relationships where we talk about things like identity and communication/conflict resolution skills. I also work with people going through a major life transition. I will help you to sort through your feelings and options, work with you to find insights that inspire positive decisions and changes, and help you to be patient with yourself as you work to figure things out. I pride myself as being an LGBTQ affirming therapist. 15 minute walk from WCU. I also have free, off-street parking. Rates listed below are my discount rates for registered students and not my full rate.

I provide in-person therapy in Lancaster and virtual therapy across Pennsylvania. I also have expertise in helping clients manage stress, insomnia, and burnout. I enjoy helping clients identify healthy, sustainable boundaries for their life, work, and relationships. I seek to work with clients holistically and collaboratively, creating practical goals for lasting change. I use a variety of evidence-based therapies to address anxiety, depression, OCD, and insomnia, including CBT, CBT-I and ERP. I also specialize in working with clients on understanding and setting healthy work-life and relationship boundaries, managing stress, improving executive functioning, and processing life transitions. It is my goal to help you experience freedom, hope and lasting change. Therapy works not only because of scientific evidence, it also works because it's a relationship. And while relationships can break, they can also heal. I would love to hear your story, your hopes, your truth. Let's walk together on this healing journey.
I believe that a trusting relationship with you is of the utmost importance. During our time together I will work to create an atmosphere of warmth and acceptance so you feel free sharing and exploring whatever is troubling you. My approach is a trauma-informed and culturally-sensitive integration of attachment theory, psychodynamic therapy, and cognitive therapy which emphasizes (1) trusting the client as an expert of their own reality, (2) exploring the patterns through which we come to understand ourselves, others, and the world, and (3) seeking meaningful emotional experiences in a safe therapeutic relationship. I will work to build a supportive, trusting, and safe relationship with you so you can bravely identify and confront the challenges you're facing. Counseling can seem like a daunting task to take on, but it also be incredibly rewarding and life-changing. If this sounds like a journey you would like to begin, then please contact me!
I have always enjoyed connecting with people and learning about their experiences. I knew I wanted to go into the field when I was a senior in high school. From that point on, my education and training have centered on being the best therapist I can be. I have worked in hospitals, schools, and mental health agencies to gain a variety of experiences and expertise. From working in different settings, I knew I had a natural inclination to help my clients feel at ease and make therapy not only helpful but enjoyable.Since I have experienced therapy, I know what it is like to be on the other side. I appreciate a nonjudgmental approach with kindness and humor sprinkled in at the appropriate times. I believe therapy does not have to be serious all the time. Growth comes from support, understanding, and compassion.
